Savvy Travelin' Palm Springs Style

Palm Springs vacationing in style - thanks to my good friend and savvy traveler, Carol L.

Here are Carol's tips and notes on where to stay and where to eat Desert style.  Now you're in the know, you'll have to go!

To Stay:

The Willows Palm Springs Hotel    ( SUPPOSED TO BE VERY NICE )

The Horizon Hotel  (I've stayed there and it's very good, they bring breakfast to your room)
The Movie Colony Hotel    ( REALLY NICE )
The Colony Palms Hotel  ( Where Purple Palm is )

Korakia Pensione   ( Great )

Viceroy Palm Springs

Hotel Zoso  ( KIND OF BIG - GOOD LOCATION - CENTRAL - LOTS OF CONVENIENCES )

Riviera   ( has good rates - rooms are supposed to be big and nice
7 Springs    (  7 Spings more basic )
The Pool House ( new and looks cute )

To Dine:
I have not been but looked in and it is very nice

in the Colony Palms Hotel
I have been very nice - great ambience and good food - Meditterranean

I have not been but heard it is very nice

Johannes - everyone loves - have not been - a lot of people's  favorite

Le Vallauris - Classic

LG's Prime Steakhouse - If you do want a steak house - I went to this one but the Palm Desert location and it was serious!

Citron at the Viceroy  - So good!

And finally I LOVE Mr. Parker's at the Parker Palm Springs
Cheeky's for brunch, lunch or breakfast - yum!

Thank you Carol for letting me co-opt your wonderful suggestions!

  1. Hi, Jennifer--

Thanks for the write-up about Carol's journeys to Palm Springs! Would you mind correcting the URL for the Willows Palm Springs Hotel to remove the "%20" at the end?

    Thank you so much!
