2336 Moss - Sold!
Another lucky Better Shelter home owner - enjoy this very special house!
I think their dog will love it too - although she was eating the wood chips in the yard already. They don't sound tasty to me, but what do I know.

Now may be the time to buy...says Michael Corbett
Must read LA Times article from this Sunday for those waffling about buying a home. According to Michael Corbett and his book, "Before You Buy: The Homebuyer's Handbook for Today's Market". If you've got the down payment and can afford the monthly payment - it's a great time to buy! And by monthly payment, don't forget to add principal, interest, property taxes, and insurance (PITI). That's the true cost of home ownership. Oh, and electricity, gas, water, trash and cable don't forget!

Neighborhood Snapshots
Glassell Park
An upcoming listing in Glassell Park led me question if I really knew exactly where Glassell Park is. Well kind of. Now, however, thanks to the geniuses at Mapping LA I do.
The LA Times completed a project they call Mapping LA where they mapped the many neighborhoods in the Greater LA area and drew boundaries, described the areas and their inhabitants, giving school and crime stats among other criteria. It is an invaluable resource for finding out information on the different neighborhoods in LA - especially when house-hunting. It's a vast project so I'm condensing it here for you to use as a tool (and an amazing one at that) when looking to check out new areas. I'll be posting highlights of various neighborhoods so keep you eye out. Happy neighborhood hunting.
Check out the events and classes at the Glassell Park Recreation Center, shop at Super King Markets (amazing prices and great ethnic items) and dine, check out the highly rated Delevan Elementary School on Delevan Drive, find a great place to call home and be in the heart of Northeast LA. See what Trulia's stats are for area homes and then come see my upcoming listing. Check out some Glassell Park mentions from the folks at Curbed LA.
